Writing to Heal - Did you know that expressive writing can help improve mental health and overall well-being?
“I wrote myself towards a stronger version of myself.”
– Roxane Gay
Research indicates that writing is a self-reflective tool that can help us heal from trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief as well as significant life events and challenges. If you are struggling with any of these issues and you identify as a woman, then this group is for you! Writing to Heal is a six-week therapeutic writing group facilitated by Sekai Ward, a clinical social worker who is also a published writer and holds a graduate degree in creative writing. Each session is virtual and meets from 6:30-7:30pm on Sundays. The next Writing to Heal group starts July 14 and runs through August 18. No writing experience is required.
